Description
Eventide is an original oil on canvas by artist Michael Rock. This painting was inspired from a visit to San Simeon which is on the central coast of California.
The waves were gently rolling in to the smooth sands in a constant motion which was very soothing to behold. This painting captures the serene and tranquil moment before the sun disappeared behind the marine layer. The atmosphere was so calming to the spirit that I had to paint how it felt. Colors of lavender, lilac, cyan blue, gold, peach, earth pinks fill this giant large format canvas which measures 60x48 inches and is gallery wrapped.
